Students With Disabilities
Viterbo provides support services for students with disabilities. There are a wide range of support services and accommodations that can assist a student in being academically successful.
An academic advisor may become aware through conversation that an advisee has a diagnosed disability. The student needs to meet with the Jane Eddy, Director of the Academic Resource Center and the ADA Coordinator, to discuss the student's disability, obtain proper documentation and identify the appropriate and legitimate accommodations.
If you suspect that one of your advisees may have a learning disability that has not been diagnosed, please refer the student to Jane Eddy for a consultation. Viterbo does not do any testing or evaluation for a learning disability. Most referrals are made to Gundersen Clinic and the Adult Learning Disabilities Section of the Comprehensive Child Care Clinic. Jane Eddy can assist in that referral process.
