Change of Advisor

The academic advisor for a student is initially selected by the Academic Advising Coordinator with consultation with the Dean or Department Chairperson. For legitimate reason and a decision beneficial to the student, a student may request a change of advisor with the Academic Advising Coordinator after the student discusses the situation with the current advisor and possibly the new advisor. Use the Request to Add/Change/Drop a Major or Change Catalogs form to officially change an advisor.
