Welcome to Viterbo University's Grants Information Home Page. One function of the office of Institutional Advancement is to provide support for faculty and staff who seek funding for Viterbo-related programs and projects.

Grants are secured when a match is found between the proposed project and a grant-maker's area of interest. Using this knowledge, as well as the grant maker's giving history, the Institutional Advancement Office can assist in identifying organizations that would be most likely to fund a particular project.

After prospects are identified, the office provides advice about proceeding with the application, supplies guidelines for writing a letter of inquiry or proposal, assists in editing a draft and gathering materials required for submission, and provides information on deadlines for proposal submissions.

Because many grant-makers have timing restrictions on considering grant applications and most will consider only one application from an institution at a time, please contact the Director of Grants in the early phase of the proposal preparation. A Grant Initiation must be filled out by any Viterbo University employee wishing to search for and secure funding.

Viterbo University Grants Protocol

Any Viterbo University employee wishing to obtain grant funding should read the Viterbo University Grants Protocol (included with the Grant Initiation Form (pdf) download), then print and fill out the attached initiation form.  Please route the form to obtain the appropriate signatures and see return it to the Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations.
