N.U.R.S.E.S Visit Event

Saturday, February 16 - 12:00-2:30 p.m.

Are you interested in rural healthcare?

Join faculty and alumni of the Viterbo University School of Nursing for a special luncheon and nursing simulation to learn more about Viterbo's new NURSES (Nursing for Underserved Rural Students seeking Educational Success) program. Through the NURSES program, students are eligible for scholarships, summer immersion experiences, academic support, peer mentoring, student employment, rural clinical site placements, and other high impact experiences. The NURSES program is funded by a $1.64 million Human Resources and Services Administration Nursing Workforce Diversity grant aimed at addressing the shortage of diverse nurses working in rural areas. Viterbo hopes to address this shortage by training more nurses to tackle the unique health issues facing rural populations, with the goal of improving health outcomes in these underserved communities. For more information on the NURSES project visit

This special event features:

  • a complimentary lunch in the School of Nursing building with Viterbo Nursing alumni and current Nursing faculty.
