Affording Viterbo

Affording Viterbo

Because of our commitment to affordability, most families pay significantly less than the full-time tuition rate. In fact, 98% of full-time students receive some type of financial aid, which is awarded based on academic merit, financial need, and in the forms of scholarships, tuition grants, and subsidized loans. This leads to an average out-of-pocket cost of $11,705 as compared to the 2017-2018 tuition and fee charges of $26,920 per year for full-time undergraduate students attending Viterbo University.

Average Financial Aid Package (2017-18)*

Consider the example below for the average cost to the Viterbo full-time freshman living on campus.

Total direct cost (including tuition and fees of $26,920) $35,680
Gift aid from federal, state, and/or university $16,000
Net Cost $19,680
Federal student loans $5,500
Work-study $2,405
Out-of-pocket cost $11,775

*This average is provided for illustration purposes only. Actual net tuition cost will vary depending upon multiple individual circumstances such as high school grades, ACT/SAT scores, individual and family income, and scholarship eligibility.
