The 2016-2017 tuition and fee charges for full-time undergraduate students attending Viterbo University are $26,150 per year. 2017-2018 Scholarship Deadlines

The following scholarships can be applied for online here. Please review the specific application requirements and eligibilty criteria for each scholarship below. These scholarships are intended to be renewable unless otherwise noted.

Transfer students are eligible for the Alumni Children's (Sr. Celestine) Scholarship, and the Professional Diversity Scholarship. If you are a transfer student intending to apply for either of these please use the online scholarship form above.

  • Alumni Children's (Sr. Celestine) Scholarship
    Deadline: Feb. 15, 2017
    Scholarship amount: $1,000 minimum (one time)
    Application Requirements: Essay

    Each year Viterbo University awards, in the name of Celestine Cepress, FSPA, one or more one time $1,000 minimum scholarship(s) to freshman or transfer students who are a legal child of a Viterbo University alumna/us. This award is granted through the Viterbo Alumni Association Board.
    • Must be a new, incoming freshman or transfer student
    • Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
    • Legal guardian must have attended Viterbo (45+ credits)
  • Health Science Scholarship
    Deadline: Jan. 20, 2017
    On-campus competition: Feb. 10, 2017
    Scholarship amount: Up to full tuition
    Application Requirements: Two letters of recommendation, essay

    The Health Science Scholarship awards scholarships to deserving students intending to pursue a career in a health science. All students invited to the on campus competition will receive a minimum of a $2,000 scholarship (over four years). The first place student will receive a four-year, full-tuition scholarship.
  • Hope Diocesan Scholarship
    Deadline: Feb. 15, 2017
    Scholarship amount: $6,000
    Application Requirements: Letter of recommendation from high school guidance counselor, essay

    The Hope Diocesan Scholarship awards two $6,000, annual, and renewable, scholarships to two La Crosse Diocesan High School seniors who intend to enroll full-time at Viterbo in the fall immediately following their spring graduation.
    • Must be a current La Crosse Diocesan High School senior
    • Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher
    • Must have an ACT score of 26 or higher
  • Nightingale Nursing Scholarship
    Deadline: Jan. 6, 2017
    Scholarship Amount: Up to $24,000
    On-campus Competition: Feb. 3, 2017
    Application Requirements: Two letters of recommendation, essay

    The Nightingale Nursing Scholarship awards three scholarships to high school students intending to pursue a major in nursing at Viterbo.
    • Must be a new, incoming freshman student
    • Must have an ACT score of 25 or higher (or SAT equivalent)
    • Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher
    • Must intend to major in nursing
  • Professional Diversity Scholarship
    Deadline: Feb. 17, 2017
    Scholarship Amount: $2,500
    Application Requirements: Essay

    The Professional Diversity Scholarship awards four renewable $2,500 scholarships to students from diverse racial or ethnic backgrounds.
    • Must be a new, incoming freshman or transfer student
    • Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher
    • Must come from a diverse racial or ethnic background
    • Must be a U.S. citizen
    • Must demonstrate financial need as determined by the FAFSA
    • Preference will be given to students majoring in nursing, education, or social work
  • Project SUCCESS Scholars
    Deadline: Feb. 15, 2017
    Scholarship Amount: Up to $10,000
    Application Requirements: Letter of recommendation from a high school science teacher, essay
    • Must be a new, incoming freshman student
    • Must have an ACT score of 22 or higher
    • Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
    • Must intend to major in biology or environmental biology (pre-health excluded)
    • Must demonstrate financial need as determined by the FAFSA

  • Russel and Vera Smith Foundation Scholarship for the Dahl School of Business
    Deadline: Feb. 15, 2017
    Scholarship Amount: Varies (one time, can reapply each year)
    Application Requirements: Letter of recommendation from a high school teacher, 500 word essay

    The purpose of this scholarship shall be two-fold: (1) to help students off-set their tuition expense at Viterbo University, and (2) to help students fund special scholarship activities that the students identify and the Dahl School of Business faculty approve as furthering the student's business education. Eighty percent of the available funds shall be distributed in furtherance of the first purpose and 20 percent of the available funds shall be reserved to distribute in furtherance of the latter purpose.
    • Must be a new, incoming freshman student
    • Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
    • Must graduate in the upper 25% of your high school class
    • Must declare a major administered by the Dahl School of Business
  • Xcel Energy Scholarship for Women in Science
    Deadline: Feb. 15, 2017
    Scholarship Amount: $625
    Application Requirements: 500 word essay

    This scholarship is to support highly able women to study science at Viterbo University. Two $2,500 scholarships will be awarded.
    • Must be a new, incoming freshman student
    • Must be a female student intending to major in science or math
    • Must have an ACT score of 23 or higher
    • Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher
    • Must demonstrate financial need as determined by the FAFSA
    • Preference will be given to students who choose chemistry or math as a major, intend to pursue a career in science, and live within an Xcel Energy area

  • Army ROTC

  • Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship
    Deadline: June 1, 2017
    Scholarship Amount: $2,000 (one time)
    Application Requirements: Essay

    Viterbo University has partnered with the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society as a partner in excellence. With this partnership, Viterbo is offering students who are members of Phi Theta Kappa a scholarship if they choose to transfer to Viterbo University.

    • Must plan to enroll full-time  in a traditional undergraduate program at Viterbo University (Graduate, Professional and Adult Education students excluded)

  • The Jack and Rosanne Glendenning Family Scholarship for The Dahl School of Business

    Application Requirements: Letter of recommendation from a Western or Viterbo faculty member, essay

    • Must be a full-time student who is admitted to the Western Technical College-to-Viterbo University business transfer program
    • Must have a cumulative transfer GPA of 2.75 or higher
  • Transfer Business Scholarship
    Deadline: June 1, 2017
    Scholarship Amount: $2,000

    • Must be a new, incoming transfer student from Western Technical College with an AAS in one of Western's business programs
    • Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher
    • Must plan to enroll in a traditional undergraduate Dahl School of Business program (Center for Adult Learning programs excluded)
