Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of Graduate Studies
Viterbo University is accepting nominations and applications for the position of Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of Graduate Studies.  Reporting to the President, the VPAA is the chief academic officer responsible for the quality of the academic curriculum, providing leadership to the faculty, and supporting the mission and values of the University.

Assistant Professor – Tenure Track - Mathematics
Viterbo University’s College of Education, Science and Mathematics invites applications for an assistant professor in Mathematics.  The successful candidate will be committed to excellence in teaching and have an ability to teach a wide range of courses at the undergraduate level. We seek candidates who will demonstrate an enthusiasm and commitment to working with students, including non-majors as well as students in undergraduate research projects.

Assistant/Associate Professor - Tenure Track - Nutrition and Dietetics
Director of Dietetic Internship
The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics in the College of Nursing, Health and Human Behavior at Viterbo University is seeking a full time, tenure track assistant or associate professor position (commensurate with experience) beginning Fall 2015.  The Nutrition and Dietetics department offers an accredited undergraduate coordinated program in dietetics and a post-graduate accredited dietetic internship.

The primary position responsibilities included teaching a variety of classes and assuming the responsibilities of Dietetic Internship Director.  Potential courses may include basic nutrition, advanced nutrition, nutrition foundations for the nursing profession, medical nutrition therapy, nutrition-focused physical assessment, health promotion and supervised practice courses associated with didactic curriculum.

Responsibilities as a VU Professor comprise active participation in department, college and university activities and committees.  In accordance with the university’s mission, faculty are responsible for advancing professional development in scholarship and service to the university and affiliated communities.

Qualifications:  Applicants for this position must have a master’s degree (doctorate strongly preferred) in nutrition or related field; active membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration, and maintenance of the RDN credential.  Candidates for this position must also have recent clinical and/or management experience in dietetics and nutrition and higher education teaching, administrative and community experiences.

Assistant Professor - Tenure Track - Accounting
Viterbo University’s College of Business and Leadership invites applications for a full-time accounting faculty position starting August, 2015. The primary teaching assignment calls for teaching our accounting foundations and taxation courses at the undergraduate and graduate level. Assistant Professor – Tenure Track – Music/Piano
Viterbo University’s College of Arts and Letters invites applications for an assistant professor in music/piano. Primary responsibilities include teaching applied piano, maintaining a studio of undergraduate piano majors and teaching additional courses as assigned, which could include piano pedagogy/literature, music theory, piano lab classes, accompanying, music appreciation, or a core curriculum seminar. The successful candidate will also develop and implement a recruiting plan for building the piano area, participate in departmental/university service activities, and maintain an active regional/national professional profile that includes solo performances, master classes, and judging.  

Qualifications: Completed doctorate in piano (doctorate in progress or ABD considered), collegiate piano teaching experience, and extensive solo performing experience.

Assistant Professor - Tenure Track - Criminal Justice
Viterbo University invites applications for an assistant professor in the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice beginning August 20, 2015.  Responsibilities will include oversight and teaching of a new online criminal justice administration degree and undergraduate courses in the traditional criminal justice program.  The successful candidate will teach 12 credits per semester, advise students, and participate in the university community. We seek candidates who are committed to a liberal arts undergraduate education and who will involve students in active learning and undergraduate research.

Qualifications:  Ph.D. in criminal justice, criminal justice administration, or related field, and prior teaching experience preferred; will consider ABD or M.S. with extensive teaching and/or practical experience in a criminal justice-related field. This position will be tenure track for candidates with a doctorate degree at the time of hire or who will obtain a doctorate degree prior to the tenure decision.
