Cataloging Services Librarian
The Todd Wehr Memorial Library at Viterbo University seeks a dynamic and team-oriented librarian for the position of Cataloging Services Librarian.  This full time, 12 month administrative position is responsible for the organization of the library collection through the processing of materials and management of electronic records.  This position performs original and copy cataloging, maintains expert knowledge of cataloging standards, and supervises students in the processing of library materials.  Liaison, reference, instruction, and weekend/evening duties in rotation are also required.  The successful candidate will be able to work both independently and collegially in a rapidly changing environment, and have excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.  Full position description is available on request.

Qualifications: Masters degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA accredited institution. Experience with OCLC, MARC records, and LC classification. Currency and knowledge in the field of cataloging. Experience with OCLC WMS is desired.

Programmer Analyst
Viterbo University invites applications for a full-time Programmer Analyst.  This administrative personnel position reports to the Director of IIT, and is responsible for assisting with the management, maintenance, continual improvement and upgrades to the University’s administrative software/hardware systems (Ellucian Colleague).   

Position is responsible for programming, database report writing and software patching support tasks on Colleague system.  Responsibilities also include analysis of Colleague Software updates to inform end users in functional business areas concerning business process modifications or testing needs; monitoring of database integrity; export/importing and processing of data sets from the Colleague system using SQL Server Reporting Services, MS-Excel, MS-Access and SQL Management Studio tools for use in other systems/databases; and assisting  end-users with the creation of custom reports using SQL Server Reporting Services, MS-Access, MS-Excel or other reporting tools.     

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or 3-5 years of professional experience in an equivalent position required.  Prefer at least two years additional relevant experience. Extensive knowledge of relational database software, programming and query languages is required. Demonstrable experience in troubleshooting of software systems is required. Excellent customer service, written and verbal skills are essential.  Experience with higher education student information systems and knowledge of Microsoft SQL server, SSIS, SSRS a plus.

Head Women’s Softball Coach
Viterbo University invites applications for a part-time Head Women’s Softball Coach. This position is responsible for organizing and overseeing all aspects of intercollegiate team including recruiting students, planning practices, scheduling games, managing budget, coordinating travel, monitoring academics and raising funds.  Visit here for a complete job description.

Qualifications:  Bachelors degree required; Master’s preferred.  Background in education, coaching or athletics administration desired.  Experience as a successful high school or college coach preferred.  Understanding and commitment to Catholic and Franciscan values; demonstrated knowledge of the sport and ability to teach fundamentals, skill development and competition strategies; commitment to the academic achievement of student-athletes; good written, oral, and interpersonal skills; and proficiency in computer use including Microsoft Office.  Willingness to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.

This is a part-time, 10 month appointment with a salary of $16,000

Assistant Vice President of Principal Gifts 
Viterbo University invites applications for an Assistant Vice President of Principal Gifts.  The primary responsibility is to strengthen and deepen relationships with major benefactors and potential benefactors by ensuring appropriate cultivation and stewardship events, personal contacts, and recognition opportunities are in place.  The individual will plan and execute individual major and planned gift cultivation and solicitation supporting approved fund-raising priorities at the university. 

Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree and CFRE preferred. At least seven years of progressively responsible experience in front-line fundraising and strong working knowledge of industry best practices relevant to the successful cultivation and solicitation of high-level prospects and benefactors for major and planned gifts within a comprehensive campaign.  Experience preferably will be in higher education, although related experience will also be considered. Ability and willingness to work evening and weekend hours including travel both regionally and nationally is required.
