Resumes and Cover Letters

Quality job search correspondence is an essential part of your internship and job search marketing plan.  Your cover letter, resume, and other application materials are marketing tools.  They should paint a picture of your skills, abilities and experiences in a way that shows potential employers, internship supervisors, and graduate schools you are a match for the position/program they have to offer. Because we all have had unique experiences, each person’s resume and other correspondence will be different. While there is no one-size-fits-all template, there are some basic guidelines to make sure your job search correspondence markets you well.

Optimal ResumeThis software can assist you in creating a resume designed to make an optimal first impression. Use your Viterbo email address to create your account and access the software; then choose Resume Prep. Select formats and categories; use tips for wording.
