Criteria for Service, Leadership, and Scholar Awards

To better identify and recognize exemplary service and leadership exhibited by theatre and music theatre majors in production components of our program, the theatre arts faculty has established Student Service, Technical Achievement, and Leadership Awards. By establishing these faculty-selected service and leadership awards, the theatre faculty hope to identify and recognize outstanding majors who embody the qualities of service and leadership which are outlined in our departmental mission statement and skills documents, as well as the mission statement of the University.

Awards will be made by the theatre faculty in the spring of each academic year to students who meet the award criteria at the highest levels. Based on faculty decision, up to three awards may be given in each area per year, although the faculty may choose NOT to give an award for leadership or service during an academic year.
