Wisconsin Reading Teacher License #316

Viterbo University's School of Education prepares educators who are grounded in Franciscan values and possess the knowledge and skills to be reflective decision makers for the 21st century.

The Viterbo Reading Teacher Program prepares teachers to be the literacy leaders of the future.  Teachers will strengthen their instructional practices, improve student achievement, and share their expertise with others. The Reading Teacher License consists of 19 total credits.

In addition to offering courses at various locations across the state, Viterbo University can bring classes to teachers where they live and work, with flexible scheduling that meets the demands of their active lives. Financial aid will be available in the 2014-2015 academic year.

  • Beginning in the Fall 2014, courses offered during the academic year will be presented in a convenient blended format.  Students will meet face-to-face on scheduled Saturdays only. Summer sessions will meet face-to-face for one week.
  • Educators completing program requirements will earn their Reading Teacher 316 license.
  • Financial-Aid is a possibility for new students who apply to the program for courses beginning in the fall of 2014 at the following locations: La Crosse, Milwaukee, Middleton, Green Bay
  • Current off-campus locations (non-financial aid eligible) include Tomah and Arcadia.
  • Viterbo can also bring the Reading 316 Program to your district.
