Go from Associate to Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences at Viterbo

This Health Care Science degree program is for students who have an Associate health care degree; for example: allied health, physical therapy assistant, clinical laboratory technician, pharmacy technician, dental hygienist, respiratory therapy, as well as others. This program can be completed by taking evening classes and will complement previous coursework and work experience; providing skills, knowledge and opportunity for leadership development for career enhancement.

The degree completion will also provide broad exposure to the liberal arts through Viterbo's core curriculum (literature, history, religious studies and fine arts). The Bachelor of Science in Health Care Science also requires additional coursework beyond the health care core in the social sciences (psychology, sociology, addiction studies). This major is part of an interdisciplinary program with the Dahl School of Business that has a common core of courses that will assist future leaders in health care settings.

The Health Care Science degree program offers:

  • A generous transfer credit policy for students with a health-related Associate degree
  • Classes that begin six times per year in August, October, January, March, May and July
  • A flexible schedule with night classes available in eight-week terms
  • Personalized advising and support services
