Earn Your Bachelor of Science in Community Organizing and Advocacy Online

Viterbo’s Community Organizing and Advocacy program represents the study of sustainability, servant leadership and social justice. At many colleges and universities, a student in the program might be called an “urban studies major,” but the reach of our advocacy degree program has a much broader scope.

It is designed for students who want to be change agents in their communities and society at large. The program may appeal to those currently working in – or who desire to enter – civic and nonprofit settings. It is a unique and flexible degree that focuses on communication, ethics and organization.

Upon completion of the online community organizing program, you can be prepared for positions as a community planner or activist for an organization pushing for social change, or as a public interest advocate.

Adult learning programs designed with you in mind.

We understand that traditional classes don’t fit everyone’s schedule. With our community organizing degree online program, you can maintain your work, family and personal schedules and still have time to complete your degree.

The advocacy degree program offers:

  • Classes that begin six times per year in August, October, January, March, May and July
  • Option to attend full time or part time
  • Personalized advising and support services
  • A generous transfer credit policy
  • Flexibility, with all classes available online in an eight-week format
