Handbook - Change of Advisor

The academic advisor for a student is initially selected by the academic advising coordinator with consultation with the dean or department chairperson. For legitimate reasons and a decision beneficial to the student, a student may request a change of advisor with the academic advising coordinator after the student discusses the situation with the current advisor and possibly the new advisor. Use the Request to Add/Change/Drop a Major or Change Catalogs form to officially change an advisor.
